
Despite being a reboot, there's still some classic Saints Row fun to be had.

In our Saints Row review, we said: "Saints Row is just a watered-down version of what was once an over-the-top and exciting series. The reboot to the beloved franchise, titled Saints Row, was released back in August, and it received its first major update last month, bringing more than 200 bug fixes focused on stability and co-op gameplay features. The last time Deep Silver issued an update for Saints Row IV was August 2021, which brought some bug fixes to the Switch version. Saints Row IV was then ported to Google Stadia on November 2021. Deep Silver Volition released a Switch port in collaboration with Fishlabs two years ago. To play off of yesterday’s reveal of Saints Row (2022), a reboot with a fresh cast in a fictional new Southwestern US city, Deep Silver is giving out Saints Row: The Third Remastered for free on. Saints Row IV was first released on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 back in 2013, and then was ported to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Linux in 2015. You can find all DLC packs that will become available with the update in the official post. The free upgrade is set to go live for Windows on December 8, and later for Linux.

Cross-play will also be available for Saints Row IV, allowing players to create mayhem with friends on Epic Games and GOG regardless of what launcher they use. RELATED: Every Saints Row Game Ever Released, Rankedĭeep Silver claimed that mods won't be affected by the free update, meaning players can continue to enjoy the game's hit Rick and Morty Baseball Bat, New Homies, and The Cabinet mode.
